I recently upgraded my Canon Rebel T7 camera to a mirrorless one from Canon, and I have been busy learning the new settings.
I have been using the birds in my backyard as subjects as I practice with the new camera. Despite some errors in figuring out how to master the new mirrorless camera, I have been pleased with the results so far.
So, I’m going to share some of these images taken in my backyard as part of my practice sessions.
It wasn’t until fairly recently that Black Point Wildlife Drive and Bio Lab Road re-opened. Some other areas still remain closed because of high water or flooding damage.
Young sandhill Crane colts have quite the growth spurt, growing an inch a day between 10 and 30 days of age.
He looks a little different from his woodpecker cousins. And he acts a little different than other woodpeckers, too.
