I visited the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge hoping to see some Florida Scrub-Jays and some Bald Eagles. I was fortunate enough to see both, as well as some other birds
There was a Sandhill Crane family with a two-week old colt and another with a pair of month-old colts.
Some baby Sandhill Cranes hatched late last week at Orlando Wetlands Park. The two-day-old birds were the focus of lots of attention – not just from their parents.
