When hundreds of different types of birds suddenly take off, there’s usually a good reason.
When it happened on Saturday morning at the Orlando Wetlands Park, the reason was easy to understand – namely two Bald Eagles circling around.
After flying around for a bit, the two eagles landed in a tree – almost seemingly to enjoy the chaos they created. One finally took off, but the other stayed to savor the mayhem.
I’m not sure what it is about these birds that is so captivating, but I love to watch and photograph them.
The first thing that came to my mind when seeing them was how prehistoric they look, like some character out of one of the Jurassic Park franchise movies.
Thanks to a recent vacation, a work trip and visiting my usual haunts, I have added 14 new birds to my life list.
