When hundreds of different types of birds suddenly take off, there’s usually a good reason.
When it happened on Saturday morning at the Orlando Wetlands Park, the reason was easy to understand – namely two Bald Eagles circling around.
After flying around for a bit, the two eagles landed in a tree – almost seemingly to enjoy the chaos they created. One finally took off, but the other stayed to savor the mayhem.
I had such fun photographing a Ruby-throated Hummingbird at Orlando Wetlands last weekend, that I wanted to do it again.
Some Black Terns recently showed up at Orlando Wetlands. It’s the first time I have seen or photographed these new-to-me birds, so I had to do some research to find out more about them.
They were swimming together along near the bank of one of the ponds in the back of the wetlands, then decided to come ashore.
