Black-and-white Warbler tops the yard bird update

Roger Simmons, April 25, 2024April 23, 2024

As I have said before, I spend a lot of time looking for birds, but sometimes it seems the birds come looking for me.

Perhaps that’s the case with one of my favorites, the Black-and-white Warbler.

One day as I was getting into my car to head to the office, I glanced over at a tree in front of my house and saw the B-W Warbler had returned. This was only the third time I had seen one in my yard, and the first time for it to be in the front yard.

As luck would have it, I had my camera with me and got to take some pictures of it before it flew off.

The Black-and-white Warbler wasn’t the only bird who has recently visited me. Here are photos of some of them.

Northern Parulas seem to be everywhere I go

I was so excited back in May when I was able to take my first pictures of a Northern Parula at the Orlando Wetlands. Fast-forward to July, and it seems these birds are, dare I say, stalking me?
