Spotlighting the ‘other’ birds at the wetlands

Roger Simmons, April 24, 2024April 23, 2024

I plead guilty as charged if you think I have been posting too many photos of Roseate Spoonbills and baby Barred Owls.

They’re hard to resist photographing when I visit the Orlando Wetlands, but they are certainly not the only photo-worthy birds at the park. This time of year, there are so many there.

On a recent sunset visit with Red Huber, I came home with a surprising number of photos I really liked of birds (and one reptile) that didn’t have any pink or tendencies to call out “who.”

So, here’s my little tribute to the ‘other’ birds of the Orlando Wetlands.
