Vacation photos: Birds, fish in Bahamas

Roger Simmons, September 4, 2023September 4, 2023

Like many folks who go on vacation, I take photos. It’s just my photos lately are focused on birds or fish.

That was the case when my wife and I went on a cruise two weeks ago that stopped at Coco Cay in the Bahamas. It’s Royal Caribbean’s private island for its cruise guests.

I’ve been there many times before, and I always enjoy my time there.

I was a little disappointed that I only saw Northern Mockingbirds and little Bananaquits for birding. As for the fish, it was a very windy days and the water was very cloudy for snorkeling, but I still managed a get few photos.

Still, and I want to emphasize this, it was vacation! So, it’s never bad.
