Casey Anthony trial: WKMG’s parent favors WFTV

Roger Simmons, June 3, 2011

Interesting side note from the Casey Anthony trial…

Orlando’s CBS affiliate, WKMG-Local 6, is owned by Post-Newsweek Stations, which is part of The Washington Post Co.

So, you would think that The Washington Post would be teaming up with its corporate sibling for coverage of the high-profile trial, right? Nope.

On WashingtonPost.com’s site, it touts that its live stream video of the trial comes “courtesy of local TV station WFTV9.com”

Ouch, Local 6!
