Sunset magic at Orlando Wetlands

Roger Simmons, April 3, 2024April 3, 2024

The Orlando Wetlands has always been one of my favorite places for birding, and a recent sunset visit reinforced that feeling.

In addition to spending time with two different families of Sand Hill cranes and colts, I was able to photograph other birds with a golden hue thanks to the setting sun.

This lighting worked especially well with the pink Roseate Spoonbills, who were settling in for the night in trees around the Cypress Boardwalk.

Throw in some little birds and some bigger ones, and overall it was a great evening.
