I enjoyed my January visit with the Whooping Crane in Osceola County so much, I went back through my photos to see if there were others I wanted to share. And of course there were some.
This has to be the rarest bird I have ever photographed, so why not see some more pictures of this endangered species?

Peafowl is the name for birds that I grew up calling peacocks – but only the male peafowl are called that. The females are called peahens, and their babies are called peachicks.
Though the bird migration season is winding down, there are still scores of amazing birds at Fort DeSoto Park near St. Petersburg, and I was able to photograph 16 different types of birds.
