I enjoyed my January visit with the Whooping Crane in Osceola County so much, I went back through my photos to see if there were others I wanted to share. And of course there were some.
This has to be the rarest bird I have ever photographed, so why not see some more pictures of this endangered species?

While I will travel across Central Florida to seek out new birds to photograph, I often overlook some pretty interesting ones hanging out in my backyard.
I visited near sunset on Tuesday and ended up seeing three sets of youngsters – baby Roseate Spoonbills, baby Great Egrets and, of course, Sandhill Crane colts.
I visited the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge hoping to see some Florida Scrub-Jays and some Bald Eagles. I was fortunate enough to see both, as well as some other birds
