I work with a very talented, experienced group of photographers who produce amazing work day in and day out at the Orlando Sentinel.
So I was really honored when our photo editor asked me for some of my bird photos for the weekly Sunday Snapshot feature on the back of the Travel & Arts section.
I offered a pretty big selection of recent photos, and she narrowed it down to seven that appeared in print.
Here’s how the page came out.
In the continental U.S.’ southern-most city, there many great places to go birding – including conventional and unconventional places.
Some Black Terns recently showed up at Orlando Wetlands. It’s the first time I have seen or photographed these new-to-me birds, so I had to do some research to find out more about them.
It took several visits to the same pond I saw them in last year before I came across these little ducks again, but the effort was worth it.
