I work with a very talented, experienced group of photographers who produce amazing work day in and day out at the Orlando Sentinel.
So I was really honored when our photo editor asked me for some of my bird photos for the weekly Sunday Snapshot feature on the back of the Travel & Arts section.
I offered a pretty big selection of recent photos, and she narrowed it down to seven that appeared in print.
Here’s how the page came out.
Lots of birders are flocking to Orlando Wetlands as many Roseate Spoonbills nests are filled with babies or anxious expectant parents.
Something very cool I found out is that some of the nesting Roseates at the rookery were actually born there years ago.
It was a cloudy, overcast morning at the Orlando Wetlands when I visited it on Saturday. But, from a birding perspective, it was a good day.
