Birds, Words, Pics + TV
I work with a very talented, experienced group of photographers who produce amazing work day in and day out at the Orlando Sentinel.
So I was really honored when our photo editor asked me for some of my bird photos for the weekly Sunday Snapshot feature on the back of the Travel & Arts section.
I offered a pretty big selection of recent photos, and she narrowed it down to seven that appeared in print.
Here’s how the page came out.
I haven’t been able to go as often as I did last year, but each trip usually includes some special moment involving birds or other creatures who live there.
On a sunset outing to Orlando Wetlands, I saw a Swallow-tailed Kite next to me at tree level, allowing me to get some great photos.
I didn’t have seeing this owl on my list of expectations, but that’s part of the wonderful surprises you can get at this urban oasis.
