I work with a very talented, experienced group of photographers who produce amazing work day in and day out at the Orlando Sentinel.
So I was really honored when our photo editor asked me for some of my bird photos for the weekly Sunday Snapshot feature on the back of the Travel & Arts section.
I offered a pretty big selection of recent photos, and she narrowed it down to seven that appeared in print.
Here’s how the page came out.
On our long weekend in St. Augustine earlier this month, I spent one morning at the Alligator Farm’s rookery area.
I visited the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge hoping to see some Florida Scrub-Jays and some Bald Eagles. I was fortunate enough to see both, as well as some other birds
I drove almost 2 hours to a preserve in Hillsborough County to see my Eastern Bluebird. Little did I realize there was a family of Eastern Bluebirds about 15 minutes from my house at the UCF Arboretum.
