When hundreds of different types of birds suddenly take off, there’s usually a good reason.
When it happened on Saturday morning at the Orlando Wetlands Park, the reason was easy to understand – namely two Bald Eagles circling around.
After flying around for a bit, the two eagles landed in a tree – almost seemingly to enjoy the chaos they created. One finally took off, but the other stayed to savor the mayhem.
Reddish Egrets are eye-catching and entertaining with their hunting methods, in which they often appear to be dancing across the water.
They include photos of some of my favorite birds, including Reddish Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills and Killdeers.
While other birds swept into the area by storms returned home, the flamingos at Merritt Island decided to, perhaps, make it their new home.
